Keri Hilson - In A Perfect World [Label Advance]

In a Perfect World... is the debut album by singer-songwriter Keri Hilson. The album was originally slated for release in mid-2007, but was pushed back multiple times to an unspecified date in February 2009, as Hilson stated herself. The album has been delayed due to major budget cuts.

Hilson explained the title as the following,

It’s my way of saying nothing in the world is perfect and no person in it is, either. None of us is exempt from certain hardships and heartbreaks. It was really important for me to write songs that women can relate to from real situations. I didn’t want to do an album that painted myself as perfect because no matter how things look, no one is.

The album will mostly include production by Hilson's common collaborators, Timbaland and Polow Da Don (also the executive producers of the album). Additional producers include Danja, Roy "Royalty" Hamilton & Anthony M., Johnkenum "Sir John" Spivery, Jim Beanz, male singer Tank, and her writing and production collective, The Clutch. Confirmed guest artists are Akon, Tank, R. Kelly, Lil' Wayne & Timbaland.
